The Leadership

George R. Marinkovich is the President and founder of West Coast Reinforcing, Inc., a California corporation. As a young man in 1978, he began his journey in the reinforcing steel industry. Everything about the work is inspiring such as its complexity, collaborations (e.g., with engineers, architects, employees, workers, governmental bodies, contractors, developers, customers, the public, and more), and admiration for the finished project knowing he has been involved with the construction.

All aspects of any project fall under George’s oversite. In his decades of experience, he has grown from an apprentice to ironworker, to a reinforcing expert, to field supervisor, to a job foreman, to field management, to steel company management, and (ultimately) the owner of this concrete reinforcement company.

Of import, is the simple fact that George has hands-on experience with all the Services that his company provides. He has superior expertise, for instance, in all types of post-tension installations typical of structures like parking garages, bridges, and high-rise buildings. George’s knowledge and experience are critical when quick and prudent judgments are essential as issues arise during construction.

Examples of George’s career projects include construction of the Embarcadero Floor in San Francisco; Humboldt County’s EEL River Bridge; a Ten-Story Office Building in Concord, California; Phillips 66’s Echo Fisk Project in Norway; and much more.

We are a full-service concrete reinforcement contractor for customers in the commercial, industrial, governmental, and residential sectors.
